Nenchang Dulyang Stone : Old Ziro

It is believed that this standing stone should not be made to fall down in flat position, if the stone will fall down to in the flat position than the rain will start immediately and weather will change, it was tried by few people who didn't believed as a result rain started to fall immediately. The stone is located in Nenchaliya near airfield old ziro, it is also known to be an important cultural landmark in ziro valley.

It is an object of veneration signifying sky deity ' Yapung' . The sign board reads that in order to prevent draught in the village , a yapung ritual is performed at this site. The stone is tilted down towards the direction in which village experiencing draught is located . It is believed that tilting down the stone towards particular direction brings rain in that area.
